Restorative Yoga Practices are becoming more popular with the demands and busy pace of daily modern life. Indeed, the attraction to a more stillness based practice is something all human beings are naturally drawn too at some stage in life; and this ancient understanding is needed more than ever in the sensory overload of the world we live in today

Restorative Yoga is a subtle but powerful approach to practice that releases stress, regulates emotional imbalances, improves immune function, digestive function, helps with injuries and - for when the dedicated yogi is really tired but still wants to practice - it is a good option for centering, rebalancing and recharging the system on all levels. Restorative yoga is a slow, gentle & nurturing meditative practice. It is a practice of developing awareness of our internal landscape through Asana, rest, breath & stillness

On this weekend intensive we will explore the skills required to bring Restorative tools into your classes or your own practice. In this training there will be plenty of practical sessions of restorative yoga and yoga nidra combined. You will get to experience the benefits of The poses and learn a variety of postures and sequencing to bring into your classes or to simply bring into your own home practice.

We will also explore how to bring the art of mindfulness into restorative practices, yin practices and how to guide meditations & Yoga Nidra.

    Maggie Dunne

Maggie Dunne, yoga teacher trainer in Samadhi

I did a lot of my studying in Australia, where I spent 8 years living in Sydney.
I Began... studying an"advanced diploma of integrated body therapies" full time and loved every minute as I have a big interest in the body, how it works and how to maintain it.
After I finished I worked full time as a remedial massage therapist, but not for long as my interest in yoga grew stronger I decided to complete a "diploma of yoga teacher training" at Nature Care College Sydney. It was challenging and amazing, life changing. Since then yoga has become not only my hobby but a way of living that makes me feel great, keeps my body working properly and most of all keeps my mind peaceful and relaxed.
The philosophy of Yoga, and its texts are amazing little treasures of knowledge that make so much sense to me, constantly putting life into perspective. I Feel that I have only touched on all that there is to learn in yoga, and hope I can keep learning and passing on my knowledge to others.
I completed a diploma of kundalini YogaTeacher Training in Limerick in 2010.
I have been studying movement medicine with David Money for the past 6 years and I have continued studying Yoga with teachers such as Shiva Rea, Donna Farhi, John frend, Mia Finnes, Gurmuck and many others. I practice study and Love Vipassana buddhist meditation and I am enjoying exploring meditation more at present. So enough about me....maybe see you at one of my classes soon.
