Yoga Nidra with Cara Chotiner
In most people the mind always remains in a state of arousal and tension. This has varying effects to our physical and emotional well-being.
Over a prolonged period of time these effects can be detrimental in the form of stress and anxiety. Yoga nidra, is a technique of Pratyahara(withdrawal of the senses from external/internal stimuli). It not only provides relaxation to the body and mind but also carries deep healing/restorative benefits on every level.

The ancient sages developed Yoga Nidra through a profound understanding of the subtle systems that link the physical body, mind, energy body, and the unconscious. Yoga Nidra was the methodology for healing and transforming each of these "layers." In other words, Yoga Nidra is a complete and holistic approach to restoring the body, the mind and the more subtle realms of being

Yoga Nidra is one of the deepest of all meditations, leading our awareness through the many levels of mental process to a state of supreme stillness and insight. By observing the physical and subtle senses, the stimuli and the response we can learn to let go into incredible calmness, quietness and clarity & inner stillness.
