After my first yoga class I felt in high spirits, peaceful and within myself. I found it very challenging, but also very rewarding. I was delighted to find something to help me to cope with my crazy schedule. While working intensively and being a full time student, I found yoga as a body and mind purification. I found a way how to recover through asana practice.
I decided to take a break from my extreme schedule and concentrate further on my yoga practice. I left to live in Koh Phangan, beautiful island in Thailand. I was certified in completing "The Chakra Healing" Course at the Yoga Retreat with Teresa Kennard. The course gave me an excellent foundation in 8 limbs of yoga, Asanas, Pranayama, Relaxation, Meditation, Philosophy, and Chakra Therapy. I further explored myself, guided by the books, tropical island and self by the self, and seminars and classes guided by Swami Vivekananda at the "Agama" yoga centre, in Koh Phangan. I also attended Vipassana in Thailand, at the Wat Kow Tahm (Mountain Cave Monastery) International Meditation Center guided by Rosemary and Steve. I completed the 200 hours training course in JungleYoga, at Koh Phangan, Haad Yuan Beach, with Randall O'Leary, specializing in Hatha Yoga.
Throughout my TTC I have taken additional yoga classes from Lily Goncalves on vinyasa flow, hatha, and integrative yoga. After my TTC I worked in Jungle Gym and Milky Bay resort, in Thailand, Koh Phangan, as a yoga teacher. I also worked with regular and dedicated private clients.
My yoga style is with emphasis on breath; the ability of being in touch with our innermost being, the flow of the movement contained by the breath & body. I believe that our breath is our engine and by being able to control it we can do absolutely anything. I tend to be talkative in my class, instructive about the different parts of the body awareness, but leaving the gap for the pupils to "soak it in". My style is gentle to challenging, so progression through Asana's builds students on all levels. I believe that yoga should be open to anyone without judging but appraising the effort.
