There is a bit of magic in yoga. Time and again I have witnessed the difference in myself and others after a good practice; you feel better from root to tip, stronger, light of limb and spirit, more connected to yourself and the world around you. Yoga offers an ocean of transformative possibilities and I’ve only just dipped my toe in.

I suppose I started yoga when I learned how to do wonky headstands as a child. My technique may have improved, but I could hold them for longer then - my mother claims I was more often upside-down than not. During my twenties I sampled various classes and teachers, but found my real yoga home in Samadhi. The warmth and welcome of this community sustains and supports so many people; long may it prosper. I studied Vinyasa Flow with Rohan Hennessy, whose wonderful teaching continues to guide my practice and classes. It was a natural progression to take the Samadhi Yoga Teacher Training diploma, under the kind, wise hands of Greg Walsh, Nikki Cousins and Cara Chotiner.

Since qualifying I have enjoyed practicing and teaching. Yoga welcomes all levels, ages and capabilities; it’s like a great friend that you want to introduce to others. I try to make my classes tough but rewarding and build up awareness, strength and flexibility...the best Savasana follows a strong, safe practice. Yoga is fun, let’s spread it around!
