Cara is a registered ERYT500 with Yoga Alliance. She holds qualifications in yoga, therapeutic massage, stress management, Anatomy/Physiology & Indian Head massage. Cara's original training was in the Sivananda tradition, which continues to be the main influence in her teaching style today. Additional styles include Dynamic Vinyasa, Astanga, Iyengar, Satyananda, Ananda & Bikram. All of which have deepened both her personal and teaching practices. She has studied pranayama within the Sivananda Yoga tradition and most recently completed a year long course in pranayama with Phillip Xerri.
Cara has had the privilege to train with such respected teachers as David Swenson, Granville Cousins, Godfrey Devereux, Danny Paradise & various Iyengar teachers of all levels. She has taught as an assistant and principle tutor with Yoga Therapy Ireland for their teacher-training course. Being able to incorporate a varied approach from many yoga schools, Cara brings a challenging yet very therapeutic sequence accessible to all levels in her classes.
“The paths of yoga have been a guiding force in one way or another my entire life and I consider it a blessing & privilege to share its many benefits through teaching. I consider my mother (a Sivananda yogini) my first and most important yoga teacher. I thank my parents, various teachers and fellow yogis for the blessings of their Love, Support and guidance. Namaste to Greg and Nikki, the best Samadhi peeps and yoga buds a girl can have! Thank you for your fun & friendship! My practice of meditation and pranayama is from the guidance and instruction of my most beloved Sat Guruji Maha Atma GMCKS. I will always be eternally grateful & inspired by his loving direction and dedicate my practice & teaching to his life’s work and priceless service to humanity.”
