Therapies €45 per hour!
We are excited to announce that we have 4 new therapists in our Dublin
studios. Ciara Long is in every Tuesday and Thursday, and Pablo,
Francisco & Maria, who call themselves The Remedial Massage
Team, are in every other day.
As a special bank-holiday deal The Remedial
Massage Team are offering 1/2 hour massages for €18 and 1 hour
massages for €33 this Saturday Sunday and Monday. No Way! Yes
Way! Its a crazy deal I know, but they really want to get working on
you, and with a price like that how can you refuse?! To book a
bank-holiday massage you can contact The
Remedial Massage Team here.
That deal is just for the bank-holiday, the rest of the time all the
therapists charge just €25 for 1/2 hour and €45 for 1
hour, still the best deal in town.

First up we have some workshops this and
next weekend.
On Sunday morning Kevin Durkin is
guiding us through inversions and pranayama (breathing techniques), an
area that rarely gets the exposure it deserves.
On bank-holiday
Monday morning we
have internationally renowned Matthew Sweeney teaching his own Vinyasa
yoga sequence, Chandra Krama.
On 7-8 August we are having a meditation retreat weekend
with Thanissara. Some of you will remember Thanissara from before, she
led a meditation evening in aid of her Kuphuka Project, a South African
Aids outreach, and this weekend is also a fund raiser for the same
project. The weekend is broken into 4 sessions, which can be attended
individually. There are 2 morning yoga sessions included, taught by
Kerstin from our Drogheda studio.
Greg canceled his Lough Erne trip as he had 7 cancellations over 2
days and it just felt like the enthusiasm was not there.
Our annual Aran trip on the other hand is booked out with 27 attending,
it should as usual be a brilliant weekend. If you are interested we can
put you on the waiting list.
Greg is heading to the Burren Yoga
Centre for 2 trips this Autumn, in September and November. The Burren
has a lovely light filled yoga room, fantastic food and, well, the
Burren on your doorstep!

BARBARA "BABS" CAROLAN
I started practicing yoga and Pilates about five years ago in my mid
30s initially to try and alleviate back pain, never did I imagine that
my body and mind were going to undertake such rewarding changes.
I went to my first Ashtanga weekend workshop in the Burren in 2004 and
felt amazing afterwards (but aching). I knew this was the type of yoga
for me, it’s challenging, vigorous and fast flowing yet I can
free my mind from the endless thoughts by concentrating on the breath.
I immersed myself in the practice and when I heard of Teacher Training
with Anthony Kearney I joined up purely to deepen my practice and
understanding of yoga. It was a fantastic experience. I gained a huge
amount of confidence, body awareness and teaching skills. I am teaching
now two years and I am very enthusiastic to share the experience and
benefits of yoga with others.
After accomplishing my yoga Diploma I have continued my studies doing
intensive training with David Swenson, Anna Forest, Venketesh and
traveled to India to study with Emil Wendel. I have also had the
privilege to work with Danny Paradise, Lino Miele, Kino McGregor,
Matthew Sweeney, Ray Tracey (RIP), David Life and many more. As a
dedicated student and teacher I am traveling to Thailand in January
2008 to begin my advanced training with Paul Dallaghan.
I also have continued my Pilates practice and in 2006 I attained my
Pilates Diploma with Progressive Pilates Academy (Bodyfirm, Dublin).
I would like to thank all my teachers and friends I have met on this
yoga journey.
Babs teaches Hot Yoga in our Drogheda studio.
